The Black Floor Pad is the most abrasive of the conventional range of pads and is intended for wet stripping of floor polish prior to recoating. Dense heavy duty fibres rapidly remove dirt, wax, floor finish and sealers when used with an appropriate stripping agent (such as Grip 102). Can also be used for particuarly tough ingrained dirt with a high alkaline cleaning detergent but will damage some factory finishes or paint finishes on certain types of flooring, caution is advised if using simply to wet scrub. Highly efficient for polish removal when used in conjunction with a scrubber dryer or rotary floor machine. Provides the best results when fitted on a medium to high speed machine (150-500 rpm).
Different floor pads have specific purposes and are coloured to denote both abrasiveness and intended usage. If using specifically for polishing operations or cleaning polished floors there are pads for stripping, scrubbing and burnishing. Please note the product description for your required product. There is some cross-over in certain instances from one pad to the next but as a reference abrasiveness of floor pads run in this sequence from most to the least: Black, Green, Blue, Red, White.
