Grip 445 Liquid Defoamer 5L is an essential chemical that should be used without fail for every cleaning operation conducted with carpet extraction machines, scrubber dryers or wet pick-up vacuum cleaners. A large proportion of the repairs we conduct revolve around inadequate use of defoamer costing our customers possibly hundreds of pounds. Without this product being applied to the recovery (dirty water) tank prior to each use, foam can easily accumulate and be sucked into the vacuum motor causing potentially irreparable damage requiring a costly total motor replacement. Even when using low foaming cleaning chemicals it is good practise to always use Grip 445 Defoamer as high foaming detergent residues could reside on the surface from previous cleans or attempts to remove stains etc. Very highly concentrated, between 30-60ml is required for a typical sized recovery tank.
